I have recently placed many items in my Etsy shop at a much reduced price. Since I have been working from my overhead is reduced and I am overflowing with work. J & S Frame and Gallery has closed it's doors. It was the last place on the island where I could run in and buy a tube of paint or a new brush and canvas. Jill's shop willl be sorely missed by her artists and framing clients.

I am showing some paintings at SanJon Gallery, J & L Frames and Gallery, and at Wilson's Collection, all in Fernandina Beach, Fl. As always I am open to new gallery representation outside of Fernandina.

I have closed my retail gallery at the end of 2009. I am painting from home now and enjoying it. I miss the people who came from out of town and kept me in touch with the world out side of little Fernandina Beach. The tourism was down quite a bit and it was getting harder to keep the business going, having to work so many days a week. I still love to get special orders for commissions and special projects.

Saturday the 12th of December will be our last open house in the studio. I am closing shop due to lack of customers. I have had several days in the last couple of weeks where almost no one came in the door. I will still be in Fernandina Beach working from my home studio and will post here galleries that will be showing my work. Art work on my website will still be available thru me and I am always happy to talk to you about projects and special paintings you might want. Thanks

September's artwalk was a great surprise as we had been warned of rain. It did not rain us out at all. We had some pretty good attendance along with some fairly descent wine and snack food. There was a reporter from the Jacksonville Times visiting us so maybe we will all have some photos published somewhere. As usual I was pretty pooped after working all day and saved most of the clean up until Sunday. I was glad I did wait since it poured rain as soon as I was safely dry inside my house. My dog Frida even had a chance to roam around the yard and do her "business" before the rain came. Strangely my deck plants at the studio seemed pretty dry today. Sometimes it rains on one block here while remaining dry just a couple of blocks over. Such is island life.
